[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ELTRUN participated in the Consortium Meeting of the Horizon 2020 Project FactLog, held in Izmit, Turkey at the Tüpraş Oil Refinery between 11-12 February 2020. The 20 Project Partners from 11 Countries came together to discuss the project progress and to plan ahead the next steps towards realizing cognitive twins in the context of process industries and Industry 4.0 .
The FactLog (Energy – Aware Factory Analytics for Process Industries) having identified the need of Industry 4.0 and process industries for cognition, envisages the combination of domain driven digital twins, with data driven models. In order to realize the aforementioned, a real-time processing layer is needed. FACTLOG offers such a layer and aims at deploying and adjusting it to several process industries. FACTLOG is driven by several specific Industry 4.0 business cases and focuses in innovation through Analytics, AI and Optimisation on the Deployment and Assessment of coherent Enhanced Cognitive Twins for the specific sectors represented in the project. The sectors represented in the project include Waste-to-fuel Transformer Plants, Oil Refineries, the Textile Industry, Automotive Manufacturing and Steel Manufacturing as represented by JEMS, TUPRAS, Fratelli Piacenza, Continental Automotive Romania SRL and BRC respectively.
